Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has reiterated that as announced before elections, two lakh vacant posts will be filled in Telangana.

Speaking at the inauguration of Civil Services coaching centre at Ashok Nagar here on Thursday, Bhatti Vikramarka said that Telangana was achieved after a long struggle for securing government jobs to local people.

As part of the government’s endeavour, a total of 50,000 posts were already filled. Now, the government is releasing annual job calendar every year, a feat unheard of in any part of the country, he said.

Stating that Group 1 exams have already been completed successfully and Group II exams will be held soon, Bhatti Vikramarka said the competitive examinations to fill vacant posts in Telangana are being conducted smoothly without any scope for leakage of question papers and other problems.

"Though intelligent enough to crack UPSC exams, poor and middle classes are facing problems to qualify in the UPSC exams due to their financial problems. Recognising their problems, the State government has decided to encourage them financially. The Energy department came forward to extend Rs 1 lakh incentive to each of those from our State who were selected to appear in Civils Main exam and the interview," he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister further stated that the incentives are being extended to those preparing for competitive exams to help them get study material and special training, he explained.

"If large number of candidates from our State are selected for the Civil Services, it will do a lot of good for our region. It will give them extra motivation to design welfare schemes, budget preparation and other aspects to benefit our State," Bhatti opined.

The Deputy Chief Minister advised the Civil Services aspirants to know what subjects and topics to focus on to improve their chances for success in the civil services.

Stating that more number of students are getting selected from North India as more academies are available, Bhatti Vikramarka opined that there is need to set up more Civil Services coaching centres in Telangana on a large scale to benefit the candidates.
